PUG
MEMORIES
On Christmas Day 2006,  Christy Vernon, her pug Bugsy & her
husband were  driving home from a family get together when
they ran in to some bad weather.   They ran off the road where
Christy and Bugsy were thrown from their vehicle.   Both of
them died.

Her friends have sent our rescue a memorial gift of $250 in
the memory of her beloved Bugsy.

Christy and Bugsy are remembered by their friends at the
Department of Finance and Administration in the office of
Criminal Justice Programs,  her husband John Vernon, and her
parents: Mr. and Mrs. McGee.
Beloved one,
you have died,
but you are not alone.
We are here with you,
the beloved dead await you. You
go from love into love and may
our love carry you and open the
way...
Liam
This is Liam,he was our first rescue. When we found him he was
suffering from neglect.  Liam spent most of his life in a outside
pen without a way in or a way out for anyone.  He lived in his
own feces and urine, was heartworm positive, a neighbor kept
Liam alive.  Day to day, Liam would just run around in circles on
a worn down path that he tried his best to keep clean.   When
we rescued Liam, he was afraid of people, he was sick with
worms and very thin.
After a course of heart worm treatment, food, and some lovin'
Liam is enjoying himself in his new forever home with a family
that love's him.

Update:  After 3 years of being in a great home, Liam began
having seizures and died. He was thought to have died from Pug
Dog Encephalitis.  We will miss him.  His adoptive parents, Linda
Bellamy and her husband,  loved Liam.  Pug rescue is grateful
that  Liam died knowing what it was like to be inside, have a
warm bed to sleep in and have a real family who loved on him
everyday.
This is Tracy Thomas. Tracy died last
year and was survived by her pugs
Mo-Mo, Templeton, and Ms. Purdy.

Tracy loved pugs and rescued 3 pugs
and would have taken in more if she
could have.

Her mother, sister and nephew
welcomed her "babies" in to their home
after Tracey passed away in her sleep
on October 1st, 2006.

She will be missed.

Joey
We will miss Joey.
 He was survived
by Megan and
Shep, Keri and
Grant, and Karla
and David.
Freedom
Freedom will be missed, He only weighed 22 lbs,
but had the personality of a 200lb. man, the
impact he has made on our lives and hearts will
last forever.
Freedom is survived by his owner Sherrie Upton
who is devoted to this sweet breed we know as
Pug.
We will miss Ralph. He was such a
loving dog and made us laugh
everyday. He will always be in our
hearts.  -The Carwells

Pugsly
Pugsly Allen Branscom   April 13, 1998  -
April 08, 2008

Our heart and soul died this morning around
125am.  He was just short of turning 10 and
has struggled his whole life with one illness
after another.  He was always happy and the
most gentle soul that one could meet.  I
thought I had prepared myself somewhat
since he has been sick, but I was so wrong.
Our whole life revloved around these three
pugs, and Pugsly was our angel.

Leslye
Biloxi
We miss her every day.  Biloxi was a part of
our family for over ten years.   She was
always happy, enjoyed sitting in the sun,
and a constant companion.  When ever
anyone sat down to watch TV or ready, she
would always be ready to sit on your lap.
She was really a true friend that could
always boost your spirits.

Molly
Molly, just by being herself, could light up a
room.  She had this way about her, maybe it
was her arthritic amble or the way she held
her head, but everyone wanted to pet her
and coo at her.  She will be missed by all
who met her.
Joey
Joey died of P.D.E. and will be missed by his
family nad Rebecca.
