Maggie
Saving just one pug will not
change the world, but surely
the world will change for that
one pug.
Maggie in
progress
Maggie is 100% better! She has
been adopted and looks beautiful.
She came into our rescue with
severe demdex mange.  Demodex is
not catching but it is temporarily
disfiguring because it causes
eruptions on the skin and
lots of swelling. If you look below
you will see Maggie today.   She
has been renamed Fraggle by her
adoptive mother and daddy.  Stacy
and Mickey love her very much and
so does her new sister Beetlejuice
Many pugs come into rescue
due to neglect, abuse,
abandonment, and owner
surrender.  We find some
pugs in shelters ready to
be euthanized.  No matter
what the reason, Music City
Pug Rescue was brought
into existence to help the
Pug dogs of Middle
Tennessee!  If you know of
a pug in need or have a pug
that you must surrender,
please email us at:

Pug Surrender
Sometimes we meet people that
must part with their pugs for one
reason or the other.  Music City
Pug Rescue can help with the
process with an non-judgmental
approach.
All owners must fill out a
Surrender form prior to their pug
being placed into rescue.  This
application serves as your legal
document to permanently relinquish
ownership of your pug.

Once we have received your
surrender form, we will contact
you via email or phone to make
arrangements to pick up your pug.

After you surrender your pug(s),
you will have a choice to be
updated so you can see their
progress and know that they are
ok.

If you have nay questions about
this process, please email us at
MusicCityPugRescue@yahoo.com

Connor
Connor was rescued from the
Crossville Animal Shelter.  He was
found wandering in a school yard.
Connor had demodectic mange.  We
worked with Conner along time but
now he is great!
Conner is the pug
on the left..this
was  right before
he was adopted.
Happy anyone?

This is Sweet William.

1/16/08  Sweet William has been adopted and is
living with his new mother and golden retriever
brother.  He will be tested for heart worm this
month.  Stay tuned!

10/27/07 UPDATE!!!  William is only a slight positive
for heart worm and his treatment is going well.  He
has went to another foster home because he is
doing so well.   His adoption is pending after his
treatment is complete.  Please consider making a
donation to help with his care.  It is almost finished!

5/07  He was a breeding pug that fathered all of
our recent puppies that came into rescue. William
was part of a 15 pug surrender.    Unfortunately,
because Sweet William was not neutered..he was a
bit wild and spent alot of time outside.    Needless
to say, he tested positive for heart worms.  Sweet
William's treatment is coming along fine and he is a
good patient for his foster mommy.

He is the sweetest boy and a complete lover.   He
lives to be held and loved on and gives kisses
anytime he can.      We will be keeping everyone up
to date as William's  treatment progresses.
BEE
This is Bee.  Bee was tied to a tree
with a 3 foot leash. Kids would poke
him with sticks and one child cut him
with a piece of glass across the back.
Bee is only 6 1/2 months old.
Despite his past, Bee has kept his
sense of humor and love of life.  He
even likes children!  Bee has went to
a loving foster home where he has
began treatment for Demodex mange,
a yeast and a fungal infection. We
will post an update on Bee at the end
of September.
This is Annie.  She was
found on the street in
Woodbury Tennessee.
Annie is approx. 6
months old so she is
just a baby.  Annie is
learning how to trust
people and getting
attention from her
foster mother Shelly.
Annie is going to need
long term care for her
yeast and fungal
infections.   She is
missing most of the
hair on her back, belly
and legs.  When she
came to us her skin
was black.    We will
update you on her
progress.

UPDATE
10/23/07
BEE IS POTTY
TRAINED!
YEAH...
He is also doing much
better and working on
getting more hair.
His demodex is
improving and he is
enjoying his brothers
at his foster home.
He is going to need
more treatment but
he is just so happy to
be in a place where
he is loved. We say a
thanks to his foster
parents JJ and
Cathy for doing such
a great job with him.
Annie when we first took her in...
These two pugs were
rescued from a breeder
here in Tennessee.  Please
consider making a donation
to help them.  They need
alot of support and medical
attention.  Thanks so much.
